"We were the better team up today up until the break but conceded a goal to a good finish. Second half we looked like we were chasing it and again we gave a couple of goals away. It wasn’t a bad performance but they are top of the league for a reason and held us back. Effort was high but we didn’t get the rub of the green on the day. I’m sure we will reset and go again for next weeks game v Worcester."
Grany Joshua said "For 65 minutes it was arguably our best performance of the season along with Gloucester. I thought we were fantastic and completely dominant in the first half especially. We showed why I feel we’re onto something. For an hour today we showed we’re at that level when we want to be and then for 25 minutes Quorn showed why they are top and why we’re 9th. Second goal on 65 minutes has killed us and our momentum completely went from there and that’s disappointing because we’ve got caught trying to play out and got our pocket picked in our own box. The game panned out the complete polar opposite to how I thought it would in all honesty, we’ve worked all week on not having a lot of the ball but ended up having most of it which was credit to our lads and how we started the game and carried that on. The lads took control of the game early doors with chances, territory and most of the ball and we have to score with all the play we had, when you don’t, I have said at least 6/7 times this season that if you don’t take your chances against the top sides it will come back to bite you and you won’t keep them out for the whole game. Bez’s side are the best and do the basics better than anybody else I’ve ever seen at the level and I wish them all the very best for the future, fantastic players/team collectively and individually, to add to that they are clinical in front of goal. We’ve made 3 mistakes today in the whole game and the ball is in our net after every mistake but that’s football and that’s the quality Quorn possess. We keep trying to put as many points on the board as possible and keep trying to be the best we can be."
